Welcom to 1B!

The first grade students have had an exciting year thus far. As we are well underway into the 3rd quarter we will continue to expand upon and add new learning experiences to our existing knowledge.

In math we have begun to learn about coins and their value. The students play a game called "Show Me the Money" in which the teacher asks the students to show a certain amount of money. This is a game that can be played at home with the whole family.

First grade has been learning about the weather and how the weather changes. The students love learning about hurricanes and tornadoes as well as the many other types of weather. They have morphed into little meteorologists and predict the weather.

First grade will be hosting the Holy Thursday prayer service on March 20th. In preparation for this special day we have been learning about the Stations of the Cross snd how Jesus died and rose to new life for us. We will be visiting the Meditation Garden and praying the Stations of the Cross in church as well.
