The 2B students continue to be actively involved in the learning process as the school year progresses. We are preparing and ooking forward to receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation on March 15th, and our First Eucharist on May 4th.
In Religion, we are in Unit 4-We Celebrate the Gift of Eucharist. This unit is preparing us for Easter and receiving the First Eucharist. In Reading, we are completing our Unit on Fossils and we are beginning Unit 5 on Courage. We will read nonfiction and fiction stories about courage, in our Open Court series as we continue to mprove our reading skills. In Mathematics, we are studying measurement (Chapter 8), and our next chapter is place value to 1000 and addition (Chapter 9). The second graders really enjoyed Chapter 7 on Geometry. In Social Studies we are beginning our unit on America's past and in Science we are completing our chapter on Objects in Motion and we will begin a Chapter on Forces next. The whole class did very well in memorizing and presenting their speeches. Representatives from each class will present their speeches at assemblies on March 10th.
