Miss Shannon Twomey
Miss Shannon Twomey

Home Sweet Home! Welcome back to all of the third graders and their families! I am so happy to introduce myself. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Miss Shannon Twomey and I am an OLM alumni (class of 93). I returned home to teach the next generation of Bulldogs and can’t tell you how excited I am to be back!

I hope all you super stars rested your brains and bodies over the summer and are ready to work! My philosophy is work hard, but have fun doing it. I plan to do both of these things this year: work hard and have fun. I will need the support of all of you to accomplish that goal. It is SO important for me to know what makes the students tick in order to make their learning fun, student-centered, and most importantly, enriching. We all need to be on the same page in order to grow together as a family. We will begin building our classroom “family” on August 25 and will continue growing and learning together until the last day in June.

I will share more about my teaching philosophy and expectations with you at Back to School Night on September 3 and can’t wait to learn more about all of you and your children.

I am always available if you have any questions or concerns. Feel free to email me or set up an appointment if needed. I am MORE than happy to talk with you at anytime. We have so much to look forward to this year. Welcome to third grade! I am looking forward to our journey together!
