4B’s “Marching” on to great things!

Sorry about the bad pun, but your students are accomplishing amazing feats so far this year. The report cards really reflect the hard work and dedication you have given in making your children the BEST! Thank you for everything you do!

We have a lot of interesting and exciting events happening this quarter. As Easter approaches, 4B students are practicing the Stations of the Cross, reconciliation (confessions and a prayer service are next week), as well as learning about the Sacraments. As our classroom Lenten promise, we will be reading with both Kindergarten classes for the next two Fridays. In math we are moving quickly through addition and subtraction of fractions and in social studies we are studying California Statehood and the Gold Rush.

Literature brings us a fresh and exciting story of Jack and his butler Praiseworthy through the novel By the Great Horn Spoon! A final movie poster project is up-coming to wrap up this great book. In English, we are moving on from adjectives to creating our own stories following the “Choose Your Own Adventure” book titles. These are fascinating books that challenge students to create multiple endings to a story.

Science explodes with excitement through our study of Volcanoes. Like a lava flow, our test in this topic is rapidly approaching. Let us not forget the wonderful music that we will be creating through our RECORDER CLASS beginning March 12th.

If you have questions regarding homework or other 4B activities during this time, please contact me through my email .

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR BEING THE BEST!
