The Kindergarten class is busy decorating for St. Patrick's Day.  We have made lucky horseshoes and leprechauns.  We will be getting ready for Easter and making Easter bunnies soon.  

This month we will be learning about weather and the four seasons in science class.      

In Religion, we have been talking about the stations of the cross as we prepare for Easter.  We will be visiting the parish meditation gardens soon. 

Coming up in April, we will be learning about animals and plants in Science.  We will start addition in Math.  You might want to practice at home. 

Continue reading the decodable books that are being sent home.  Work on sounding out words and writing words and sentences.  With a little encouragement and practice you will be surprised at how much your child can accomplish.  Our students reading skills are really progressing.

We encourage parents to sign up to volunteer in the classroom.  We still need helpers for April and May.  If you have some free time stop by, look at the calendar,  and sign up to help.  You will be glad you did and your child will be happy to see you helping.

Enjoy the Easter break and be ready to finish up the third quarter when we get back.  Then we have one more quarter to go until summer.  Time has gone quickly.
