The Clubhouse has just finished another great Haunted House for Halloween! Many of the children had a great time, and some even participated in being ghouls while a few teachers went through. Screams, mostly of laughter, and some of fright, were heard echoing through the Clubhouse. A great time was had by all.

As we move on to the holiday season, the children will have the opportunity to help make, bake, and decorate holiday cookies. A tradition started many years ago by Mrs. Karen Chorley, the first director of Clubhouse, to bring holiday cheer the whole school. The children also have them for snack and take a “goody bag” home near Christmas. You can always tell when they are baking, because the smell of sugar cookies is everywhere!

Other than that, it is business as usual down at the Clubhouse. We do homework first, then outside to play, back in for a light snack, and more play until the children are Picked up by 6PM. That’s a really quick synopsis of what happens, but the dedicated staff here truly make it a great experience for the families of Clubhouse. We smile because the children are smiling.

The Clubhouse staff wishes you and your families a safe, happy, and holy holiday season!

A few reminders:

  • If your child is participating in ANY activities that would happen during Clubhouse hours, please be sure to fill out the appropriate form so that we can release the child to the activity. Without WRITTEN permission, we do not let the child go. This is for the child’s safety. This includes sports, choir, scouts, drama club, speech club, Academic Decathlon, etc.
  • Clubhouse is open until 6PM every day school is in session, except for the first day in August, and the last day in June.
