Enrichment Programs
The program for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade follows the course of study prescribed by the Archdiocese of San Francisco, which is based on the requirements mandated by the State of California. The curriculum is enriched by field trips, assemblies and guest speakers. Our students score well above the national average on standardized achievement tests. The majority of our graduates continue their academic success in one of the Bay Area Catholic High Schools.
Students at Our Lady of Mercy participate in a Library Science Program in our Library-Media Center—the program is under the direction of a full-time Librarian.
Creative Arts is an important part of the curriculum at Our Lady of Mercy School. Students receive instruction in music, art and drama during the regular part of the school day and have the option of choosing Band and Chorus as electives.
Classrooms are equipped with Apple® Computers. All students receive formal instruction in the use of computers in our fully-equipped Pacelli Macintosh Computer Lab.
Dance Program
Some grades will be involved in our dance program. Artists in residence will be working with faculty and students.
