Mrs. Pamela Rouhani
Welcome back to a new school year at Our Lady of Mercy. I hope you enjoyed the
summer with your children! My name is Ms. Pamela Rouhani and I teach 3B. I am also
a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy.
Third grade will be a special year for your child because it is the beginning
of the intermediate grades. Students entering third grade can expect a lot of
changes. This year students will learn many
new skills, including note-taking
and cursive writing. Also students are now eligible for honor roll and can
participate in school sports. Report cards will also be different, as students
are now assessed using the traditional grading scale. I look forward to seeing you all at our back to school night on Wednesday, September 3rd.
If you have any questions
or concerns about what is expected in the mean time, feel free to contact me.
Over the summer students were given both math and reading assignments.
In math students were expected to practice the following skills: addition and
subtraction of three digit numbers (with regrouping); addition facts with sums
up to 18; and writing four digit numbers in word form.
If your child is having difficulty with the summer math assignments, try
visiting the following web sites:
